My name is Jan van der Vegt and I'm an expert in artificial intelligence. I love working on interesting problems and figuring out how novel approaches can be used to solve these challenges. Next to machine learning, I also like to try and solve more traditional optimization problems and work on simulations. I mostly enjoy the combination of theory, implementation in Python and then applying it in real life solutions. Recently I have decided to invest a bit more time into structuring this process and documenting my findings in the form of this blog.
I have worked in the aviation industry, had my own MLOps startup, which got acquired by Databricks. I have worked as PM for a while but decided to move back to the AI space.
